Flash ActionScript Engineer

Flash/ActionScript Engineer

We're looking for talented Flash Engineers to work on features Flash projects video players and other components. Homepage swish intro will be a key to your success.
We are focused on enabling content and community to be experienced anywhere there is a screen and an internet connection, and embeddable Flash components are a critical part of that process. Flash engineers work with product management, UI designers and visual designers to conceive, architect and build new Flash applications as well as extend and enhance our existing players.

Responsibilities:

Design and implement Flash-based gadgets and applications for web sites and embedded devices.
Enhance the embeddable players to enable deeper integration on third party websites.
Mentor other engineers in Flash and ActionScript development.

Requirements:

BA/BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience preferred with a strong academic record.
3+ years of software engineering experience in Flash and object-oriented ActionScript 2.0 or 3.0 .
Experience with client-server interactions (Flash remoting, Flash Communication Server, XML requests) a plus.
Familiar with version control systems (e.g. Perforce, SVN, etc).
Comfortable coding without the Flash IDE.
Experience in web development (HTML, CSS, AJAX, Javascript) preferred.
Software engineering experience in C/C++, Java or Python preferred

Developer Specialist

As a Prosopo Developer Advocate, you will be an advocate of and evangelist for the adoption of our developer products. You bring strong and well-rounded coding skills in a wide range of web/AJAX technologies along with excellent writing and presenting skills. You will be measured on growth in adoption of our developer products and our overall developer community. You need to be able to work equally well with technology executives and developers at our partner companies.

Responsibilities:

Participate in architectural and design discussions with strategic partners to speed adoption and ensure best practices during implementation.
Present at developer conferences and other events globally.
Actively blog, podcast and write sample code, developer articles and tutorials for code.google.com and other developer sites.
Influence Google developer product strategy by working with product management, engineering, marketing, business development and operations.

Requirements:

BA/BS in Computer Science or a similar technical degree preferred.
At least 5 years of valid work experience as a software developer, architect, technology evangelist or product manager for relevant web technologies.
Excellent public speaking skills and charisma, with solid experience presenting at developer conferences.
Experience blogging and writing technical articles.
Strong command of the web/AJAX development technology landscape.
Proven experience working with technology press, online journalists and bloggers.
Solid programming abilities in more than one of the following languages: Java, PHP, Python, Ruby, .NET, JavaScript and Perl.

Technical Writer

As a technical writer you will take all forms of information and communicate it in a lucid, concise and accurate manner. Your responsibilities will include writing documentation that describes operations and applications for internal and external developers. You're a highly technical individual who is passionate about writing and quick to learn new technologies. Much of your work will also appear on customer websites as a way to communicate their goals, product and services.

Responsibilities:

Develop and enhance applications that simplify the production and maintenance of our documentation.
Identify opportunities to simplify the lives of other team members through better documentation.
Work with other team members to proofread and edit documents.
Proven ability to write clear, accurate technical documentation.
Ability to write HTML.
Creative, problem-solving approach.

Joomla or Drupal Developer

As a CMS developer in Joomla or Drupal you will be required to program and troublshoot all issues from backend, frontend, modules, components and MYSQL. Your responsibilities will include writing documentation that describes operations and applications for end users. You're a highly technical individual who is passionate about CMS learning new technologies.

Requirements:

Extreme programming/scripting skills in PHP and development on Unix/Linux Platforms
Extreme SQL skills (Oracle is a plus)
Good Knowledge of HTML, DHTML and Javascript
Excellent analytic ability and a passion for writing scalable, flexible and portable code
Must be well versed with developing web based applications and content management systems (Mambo, Joomla or Drupal)
Experience: 1.5 years and above
